    Description
    Are you an experienced procurement professional with a background in university or government settings? A university located in North Florida is seeking a skilled individual to fill a temporary Procurement Support Specialist position. This role requires expertise in buyer/contract management roles within the university or government sectors. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must, along with a solid understanding of invoicing, accounts receivable, and purchase order processes. This remote position offers the opportunity to contribute your talents to our team for a 2-3 month assignment, starting immediately.     Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:
    • Assist in the procurement process by researching vendors, obtaining quotes, and issuing purchase orders in compliance with university policies and procedures.
    • Support contract management activities, including drafting, reviewing, and maintaining contracts and agreements with vendors and service providers.
    • Collaborate with university departments to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance on purchasing policies and best practices.
    • Maintain accurate procurement records and databases, ensuring completeness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner, working closely with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies or disputes.
    • Assist in the evaluation of vendor proposals and bids, analyzing cost and quality factors to make informed purchasing decisions.
    • Provide administrative support to the procurement team, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and handling inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
    • Stay informed about relevant regulations and industry trends affecting procurement practices in higher education.
