- Assist in the procurement process by researching vendors, obtaining quotes, and issuing purchase orders in compliance with university policies and procedures.
- Support contract management activities, including drafting, reviewing, and maintaining contracts and agreements with vendors and service providers.
- Collaborate with university departments to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance on purchasing policies and best practices.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and databases, ensuring completeness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner, working closely with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies or disputes.
- Assist in the evaluation of vendor proposals and bids, analyzing cost and quality factors to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Provide administrative support to the procurement team, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and handling inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay informed about relevant regulations and industry trends affecting procurement practices in higher education.
