St. Mary's Center for Women and Children is looking for a Major Gifts Officer to have a significant role in a dynamic development office.
Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Major Gifts Officer will be crucial in the strategy, engagement, and long-term vision for St. Mary's Center's major gifts program. The officer will be accountable for securing both annual and multi-year commitments from individual donors at the $10,000+ level and constructing a strong pipeline of mid-level donors at the $5,000+ level, supporting the organization's $3M annual private revenue objective and preparing for an increased annual fundraising goal due to the $100M capital project and ambitious revenue growth in the next three years.
- Develop and execute strategies for engagement, solicitation, cultivation, stewardship, and follow-up to increase the number of gifts, donors, and revenue at the $10,000+ level.
- Manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects to enhance existing relationships through proactive outreach and face-to-face meetings, and develop new relationships with prospects.
- Oversee internal donor tracking and moves management for the portfolio, support Chief Development Officer with tracking major gift prospects and donors in Raiser's Edge NXT.
- Secure at least 10 face-to-face donor/prospect visits monthly.
- Strategize and implement new cultivation events for major donors and prospects.
- Support all annual fundraising goals related to individual donors as a vital member of the Development team.
- Collaborate on Annual Appeals.
- Lead St. Mary's Center's key donor groups and network engagements.
- Participate in corporate volunteer engagements and fundraising events.
- Attend external networking events regularly.
- Collaborate with Program team members to align fundraising efforts with the agency's mission and values.
- Support all Development team initiatives and in-kind donation management.
- Lead St. Mary's Center's annual fundraising events to raise revenue.
- Manage event committees and partnerships for sponsorship solicitations.
- Organize cultivation events focused on major donors.
- Bachelor's Degree with significant major gifts and fundraising experience.
- Highly collaborative, creative, motivated individual with a successful track record in major gifts strategies.
- Proven success in fundraising for mission-focused organizations.
- Experience in committee management and maintaining diplomacy.
- Excellent communication skills and CRM platform experience.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel.
