Upper Darby Township has two (2) immediate openings for part-time drivers in our Home-Delivered Meal program.

The drivers will be responsible for loading township vehicles and delivering meals to Upper Darby Township homebound seniors and eligible persons with disabilities, who are unable to prepare nutritious meals themselves.

The meal delivery service includes a brief wellness check as well. Home delivered meal services help program recipients maintain their independence as long as possible.

Specific duties of this position will include, but not limited to:

Load Township vehicle with deliveries to pre-established geographical regions within Upper Darby Township
Deliver meals ensuring successful delivery within required timeframes.
Greet meal participants and take note of appearance, general condition, and safety of immediate surroundings.
Follow established safety and reporting protocols, including but not limited to contacting emergency services and reporting any matter of concern to the Home-Delivered Meal Program Supervisor.
Return to the center to reload vehicles throughout the shift, as necessary
Assist with kitchen cleaning and maintenance
Assist with congregational meals services on occasion.
