Your Role
You will work on site at the Facilities Design & Construction Center (FD&CC) in Seattle to provide comprehensive energy management services to support Coast Guard facilities. Travel will be required less than 25 percent of the time.
You will identify energy conservation opportunities and help facilitate the implementation of projects, initiatives, and programs that reduce energy consumption and demand, increase energy security and resilience, save money, and help the environment. The REM will augment existing customer capabilities, work with both the customer and Tetra Tech in a team framework, and be an on-site action agent to facilitate energy and cost savings and attain federal goals.
Primary duties will focus on energy management, including program management services, but work will also include:
The REM is required to have 7 plus years of experience in energy management or energy engineering. Strong HVAC background and experience with design reviews, energy auditing, project development, life-cycle cost analysis, direct digital controls, commissioning, and building/system optimization is desired. Previous experience working at Federal facilities, especially Coast Guard, is a plus.

Degrees/Certifications:
A BS in engineering or energy-related field is required, but military or civilian experience working at Federal installations, or experience in energy-related field may be acceptable.
Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) designation is required or must be able to obtain.
U.S. citizenship is required, and you must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Work Environment:
The work environment will consist of an office environment, as well as frequent field visits in and around various client facility sites. You must be able to exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical demands are in excess of those of sedentary work. Light work usually requires walking or standing to a significant degree, such as walking 2 to 3 miles in a few hours. You must be able to climb ladders, access roofs, and access narrow mechanical rooms.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the proposed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance, as part of a compensation package.
