job summary:
An EH&S Coordinator is needed for a leading manufacturing organization near Long Beach, CA. In this role, you'll play a vital part in maintaining a safe and environmentally conscious workplace by identifying hazards, leading safety initiatives, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualified candidates must have 2+ years of related EH&S experience within a manufacturing or logistical environment. A Bachelor's degree in safety is desired although equivalent work experience will be considered. The ability to obtain a TWIC card is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential. Strong communication, organizational skills, and experience in project management are also required. This is a contract role slated to last 3+ months with a definitive possibility of extension.

responsibilities:

Identify, anticipate, and address safety and environmental concerns

Manage the on-site ergonomics program

Support investigation and implementation of safety incidents and accidents

Coordinate activities to promote a safe workplace

Prepare health and safety reports and environmental requirements

Lead safety committee meetings and emergency evacuation drills The essential functions of this role include:

working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
