- Analyzes a particular task, which is made up of potential user contact, analysis of goals, problem complexity and feasibility study, logic design and systems flow-chart, analysis of input-output flow, hardware study, forms layout, resources evaluation, cost and time analysis, and detailed flow- charting;
- Analyzes, reviews, and alters program to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements;
- Implementation follows the previous two steps, which includes user allocation, file design, storage estimation and allocation, actual coding, error removal, logic optimization, systems re-evaluation, on-line testing, user approval, final corrections, and program and run-time documentation;
- Responsible for utilizing the latest manuals, periodicals, and technical reports to learn ways to develop programs that meet user requirements and make appropriate recommendations;
- Writes, de-bugs, diagrams, and creates flow-charts, codes, documents, and programs;
- Consults with Vice President of IT on new projects;
- Maintains liaison with the user community who have programming problems or requirements
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Must have well developed interpersonal skills and have the ability to promote harmonious relationships with staff, and supervisors;
- Good communications and project management skills;
- MUST be proficient with AS/400 Programming in IBM CL (Control Language) Programming, RPG (Report Program Generator), RPGLE (IV) Programming (RPG Free-form preferred)

Description

Plans, develops, tests, installs and document programs; analyze what has to be done to make the systems run efficiently; communicate with all departments on the changes that were requested and placed into production; review and recommend new programs that will be essential in the operation of the company; assist with helping the computer operators, when issues arrive (program errors or user errors). Assist with any PC issues, phone problems, and/or hardware issues
Essential Functions:
Performs in-depth systems analysis and development of complex, technical, or sensitive projects that impact integral Company systems
The physical demands of this job include medium physical activity performing activities of an administrative, productive and/or technical nature that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must regularly sit, talk or hear, use hands to touch, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally stand, walk, climb, or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
