Bank clerks are employed in all business areas of credit institutions.

Their tasks include customer acquisition, consultation and support, as well as the sale of banking services, particularly standardized services and products.

Typical areas of work include account management, payment transactions, money and asset management, as well as credit business.

Other possible areas of work include controlling, organization and data processing, human resources, auditing, and marketing, which usually require specialization.


Training Process:
The training to become a bank clerk takes place over a period of three years.

During this time, apprentices receive theoretical knowledge at the KarlVolkmarStoySchule Jena, State Vocational School Center for Business and Administration, and practical experience at our institution.

Examinations are conducted by the IHK Ostthueringen in Gera.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or secondary school leaving certificate and completed commercial training

  • Interest in economics and finance
  • Good mathematical skills and analytical thinking
  • PC skills

Opportunities after training:

  • Employment as a service advisor in our branches
  • Qualification as a customer advisor in the investment or credit sector
  • Further education/specialization through courses and seminars in-house and at cooperative education centers
  • Part-time studies to become a bank specialist BankColleg, bank business economist BankColleg, or diploma bank business economist BankColleg.
