SUMMARY:


This position requires collaboration with drivers, production, and customers on a day-to-day basis to coordinate the movement of corrugated orders.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain daily delivery schedules (including offsite warehouse transfers), coordinate plans with the material pickers, and direct dispatching personnel to ensure timely and accurate delivery of customer shipments.
  • Incorporate the use of trailers from Rand Whitney Way and outside carriers, as required.
  • Responsible for verifying roll stock paperwork, including purchase orders, and inventory for accurate recordkeeping.
  • Develop, design and implement work methods and operational procedures for activities, such as verification of incoming and outgoing customer orders with inhouse Customer Service and Production teams.
  • Attend production meetings and implement processes throughout the shipping organization.
  • As needed, review processes and recommend measures to improve shipping methods, equipment performance, and quality of product or service, suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate recordkeeping (Logbooks for all truck drivers to ensure DOT compliance), as needed, prepare, and submit records.

  • Special projects and assignments as business dictates
  • Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPPA.

  • 46 Forklift Operators

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • College Degree in Business or Logistics preferred
  • 35 years of freight logistics experience preferred
  • Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency with computers and technology
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently or as a team member
  • High degree of attention to detail while working in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be organized and have demonstrated the ability to multitask Ability and willingness to learn and grow
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
  • Must have attention to detail and focused concentration
  • Must be able to make timely decisions in the context of the workflow
  • Must be able to complete tasks that require a particular speed or productivity quota
