Our client is a leading provider of design solutions in North America. They focus on innovative and durable products with a commitment to safety.
The company is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to work on large-scale projects, overseeing electrical equipment components and systems in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise power distribution system design, including layouts, diagrams, load studies, and wiring schedules.
Review and approve designs by Electrical Engineering Consultants.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of Electrical Engineering Standards.
Coordinate electrical designs with other engineering disciplines.
Develop specifications and procure electrical power distribution equipment.
Collaborate with the Instrumentation and Controls team on automation system design.
Prepare Scope of Work for electrical installations and supervise the installation process.
Qualifications:
Preferred BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
5+ years of experience in specifying and installing electrical equipment in heavy industrial manufacturing.
Project Management Experience, PMP certification is a plus.
Experience in troubleshooting electrical control systems on continuous production machines.
Knowledge of computer network system installation and troubleshooting is preferred.
Familiarity with equipment and machine design standards, safety design, and relevant regulations.
Working knowledge of Rockwell Automation PLC systems and mainstream automation communication systems.
Advanced skills with MS Office Suite and AutoCAD.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proximity to one of client's manufacturing sites, as significant travel is required (50-70%).
