The Waidspeicher Theater is a professional puppet theater ensemble and is operated as a non-profit organization under the name Theater Waidspeicher e.

V. Located in the heart of Erfurt's old town, the theater has an attractive venue that can accommodate 142 spectators. Each year, more than [number] of spectators attend one of the approximately 300 events. The theater also performs numerous guest performances in Germany and abroad. in Erfurt is currently seeking a full-time Technical Director (m/f/d) to fill a vacancy, starting as soon as possible or at a later date.

The employment contract is subject to the provisions of the Normalvertrag Bühne (Private Theater), with special regulations for stage technology.

The responsibilities of the position include:
managing the technical department and workshop/studio, as well as building technology, with personnel responsibility for approximately 10 employees ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of stage setups at the Waidspeicher Theater and guest performance venues ensuring smooth technical rehearsals and performances understanding the artistic requirements of new stage designs, developing scenic and technical solutions, and moderating financial and technical requirements within given budgets planning and managing costs and investments for the technical department, workshop/studio, and equipment ensuring workplace safety, health, and fire prevention by conducting risk assessments serving as the technical director for the International Puppet Theater Festival Synergura The ideal candidate
