Job Summary and Qualifications
We are looking for a compassionate and ambitious paramedic to provide clinical support to patients of all populations. You will contribute information to the assessment of the health status of Emergency Department patients
You will participate with nursing staff in the development and modification of a patient's plan of care
You will assist nursing staff in implementation of plan of care and documents in patient's chart, patient response to interventions
You will provide for patient safety
You will attends meetings and in-services as required by departmental policy
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE
Required – Minimum of 1 year ER or comparable field experience.
Preferred – Minimum 3 years active field experience as released VA Medic (documentation required).
EDUCATION
Required - Successful completion of a Paramedic training course.
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION
Required:
•Current Virginia Office of EMS Paramedic certification (or current equivalent)
•Prior to the start of employment, must have and maintain current American Heart Association (AHA) Certifications as follows:
