    **Description:**

    This position is responsible for planning and coordinating nutrition services throughout the hospital in accordance with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards and local, state, and federal laws. The Director is ultimately responsible for the procurement, inspection, distribution, safety, security, and control of all foodstuffs; coordinates the development and implementation of clinical nutrition programs, budget, policy, procedures, and quality improvement activities; and must be able to communicate vision and leadership through interpersonal skills with staff members.**Qualifications:**

    Bachelors of Science required. Food Safety Manager Certification required within 90 days of job entry. Minimum ten years of experience in healthcare foodservice, hospitality industry, or customer service related field, with at least three years food & beverage management experience and at least three years hospitality, customer service, healthcare or related supervisory/managerial experience. Knowledge of organization and operation of all units within the Dietary Department. Basic knowledge of dietetics. Three years hospital/healthcare management experience required. MBA, MHSA, or other advanced healthcare management degree preferred.

    Minimum Required Experience: 10 or more years
