    • Bachelor's Degree and/or Masters in the content area
    • Minimum of five (5) years teaching experience in content area across grade levels
    • Must possess or be eligible for one of the Mathematics Content CTSDE Certifications
    Salary: Salary, work year and working conditions will be in accordance with the current contract between the Board of Education and the Suffield Educators Association.

    Period of Employment: Beginning the 2024/2025 School Year

    Reports to: Building Administrator

    Position Expectations:
    • Ability to unpack standards create and develop lessons and assessments required for prerequisite math skills.
    • Track and share student progress with teachers, parents and administration through progress tracking platforms, such as google, PowerSchool, progress monitoring forms and/or smart goal tracking sheets.
    • Ability to support students in multiple courses including but not limited to computer science, statistics, algebra, etc.
    • Provide Tier II and Tier III math instruction.
    • Attend and participate in MTSS, Student Achievement, 504 and IEP meetings.
    • Attend vertical math meetings as determined by instructional coach and/or administration.
    • Highly effective elementary educator with extensive training in math.
    • Demonstrated ability in providing targeted diagnostics to identify specific areas for growth.
    • Ability to create and develop alternative assessments.
    • Demonstrated ability in providing interventions resulting in improved student outcomes.
    • Ability to engage in systems thinking with curriculum leaders and building/district administration leading to continuous improvement of intervention delivery system (with specific attention on progress monitoring and entrance and exit criteria for intervention delivery).
