The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 professions throughout the country who want to become even better with us.

We are looking for you for a 3-year apprenticeship as a train controller (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO AG at our location in Gerolstein. The vocational school is located in Lahnstein.
With this apprenticeship, you will become a coordinator for our trains. Instead of being on the train, you will be in a control center (called "signal box"). We have countless signal boxes all over Germany. Through screens or boards, you can observe the trains in your area and use buttons, keys, and levers to influence their journey. With the push of a button, you can set signals (traffic lights for the trains) to green or red and also switch tracks so that the trains can change tracks. You will also have many other tasks that make you the most important team member for the train drivers. You will be in constant contact and exchange information about changes during the journey.
With your small team, you will work in the Gerolstein area at a signal box close to the action. Here, you will see the trains passing by. The trains are usually controlled using levers, buttons, or switches.
