Description

Duties:

Prepares fund citation letters, maintain student information, and upload pertinent information into the General Fund Enterprise Business System.
Compiles and summarizes cost estimate data with actual costs by querying databases, researching documentation, and resolving discrepancies.
Assists analyst in preparing annual budget requirements by gathering and compiling data received from managers.
Consolidates, organizes, and summarizes complex data for inclusion in the accounting system and in required status of funds reports from a variety of source documents.

Must be able to obtain and maintain and Secret Clearance.
THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 1 Certified position. Incumbent is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.
Qualified typist able to type 40 words per minute (WPM) is required.

Time in Grade Requirement:

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).

Education:

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Additional information:

Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Marketing, Data Science is highly desired.
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
One year trial/probationary period may be required.
Direct deposit of pay is required.

Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
