Job Summary:
The Bell Attendant at Arlo Chicago is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to hotel guests by assisting with their luggage, providing information about the hotel and local area, and facilitating a smooth and enjoyable stay.
Compensation & Benefits:
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests upon arrival and assist with their luggage
- Provide information about the hotel amenities and services, as well as the local area
- Escort guests to their rooms and explain the features and amenities
- Operate bell carts and assist with transporting luggage to and from guest rooms
- Communicate with other hotel departments to ensure guest requests are fulfilled
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of bell desk and lobby area
- Handle guest complaints and escalate to management as needed
- Act as a concierge by making reservations and providing recommendations for local attractions, restaurants, and events
- Respond to guest inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Provide exceptional customer service at all times, anticipating and exceeding guest needs
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience as a Bell Attendant or in a similar customer service role preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong customer service skills and ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- Knowledge of local area and attractions a plus
