Description

The Staffing Program Manager for Nursing will be responsible for enhancing contingent staffing through marketing and recruitment strategies with vendors.

The Staffing Program Manager for Nursing will establish rapport with external customers to facilitate staffing vacancies. Supports compliance with all regulatory agencies and program policies. Coordinates and implements contracts for Nursing Department. The Program Manager will establish and facilitate the internal Comprehensive Sitter Program. The Staffing Program Manager for Nursing reports to the Clinical Manager for the Nursing Staff Office. Supervises administrative staff in the department.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required or Bachelor's education in process, combined with relevant work experience and an estimated degree completion date within 2 years
Experience

  • Four years of progressively responsible work experience in Healthcare or related field.

  • General knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment; of business English, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Skill in understanding and following oral and written instructions and in communicating effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Personal characteristics as poise, tact and diplomacy, and the ability to interact with diverse groups of people within the Institution and from outside agencies

Responsibilities:


  • Oversees management of credentialing and onboarding of new contingent staff; facilitate training and development.
  • Ability to interpret, analyze and create management reports, including financial, volume, variance, cost accounting, marketing
  • Advanced skill in organizing the transitioning of new staff.
  • Supervises Staffing Agency Assistants
  • Maintain records and ensure all employee compliance with competency requirements.
  • Assure adherence to institutional standards of practice for clinical roles.
  • Assure compliance with Kronos time keeping and make necessary adjustments for contingent staff and internal staff.
  • Enrolling contingent staff to program.
  • Effective skills in use of computer programs (Shift Wizard, EPIC, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Interpretation of Data from dashboards.
  • Demonstrate competency of understanding of recruitment process from admission to contract/hire.
  • Triages telephone calls from prospective vendors
  • Oversees management of the internal Comprehensive Sitter Program
  • Assists with International Nurses Initiatives.
  • Performs other project work and duties as assigned.
  • Manages and oversees financial hospital goals/targets related to reduction of agency sitters
