Aviara Healthcare is looking for a personable, happy, compassionate, and competent
Concierge / Social Service Assistant to join our team.


Purpose:
To assist in providing visitors and residents a high quality experience within our facility.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Implement and execute established protocol for visitors and residents
  • Assist with resident room changes and assignments
  • Communicate with patience, families, physicians, and other members of the team concerning basis facility process and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned by admin and supervisors

Requirements and Qualifications:


  • Must be able to read write speak and understand and communicate in English.
  • Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information.
  • Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures.
  • Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training.

Physical Capacities:
(With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices)

  • Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Continuous bending, squatting, twisting and reaching.
  • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility which includes an annual TB screening and physical examination.
  • Must be able to stand for and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Requires infrequent lifting of weight up to 100+ pounds with assistance.
  • Frequent pushing and pulling of carts and transporting residents.
  • Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress related to working with persons who are ill, disabled, elderly and/or emotionally upset, and/or memory impaired.
  • Must be able to manage resident behavior that includes verbal outbursts, combative behavior, striking out, and memory impairmen

Environmental conditions:
Inside work, normal temperatures, some noise, occasional fumes/odors, chemical exposure and potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

$ $25.00 per hour

Experience:


  • Customer service: 2 years (required)
  • Skilled nursing facility: 1 year (preferred)
  • Receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
  • Social work: 1 year (required)
