- Assist in the entitlement process with conceptual and preliminary layouts.
- Assist in the planning and design of roadway engineering projects involving geometric, hydraulic, pavement, intersection, lighting, and traffic design. Strong understanding of ODOT and local regulations.
- Preparation of design calculations including roadway management plans per local, state and federal regulations.
- Preparation of signalization studies and experience with noncomplex and complex roadway design.
- Preparation of contract documents including project specifications and quantity/ cost estimates.
- Preparation of as-built plans for final project approvals.
- Assist in managing projects through local, county, state, and federal permitting and compliance with other regulatory requirements
- Ability to make independent decisions based on sound engineering judgment and experience.
- Ability to apply knowledge to a variety of assignments.
- Experience with stormwater regulations and practices
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience with MicroStation.
- Proficiency with OpenRoads Design is a plus.
- Noncomplex roadway design experience. Complex roadway design is a plus.
- Ability to guide junior-level staff on objectives, critical issues, and concepts.
- Ability to interact with internal staff, reviewing agencies and customers as needed on project-related issues.
- Will consult with superiors on unique, unusual problems and developments
- As experience expands, will play a role in collaborating on new or improved techniques and procedures on complex projects and assignments.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
- Minimum years of roadway design experience
- Understanding and implementation experience of ODOT and/or local standards
- AutoCAD Civil 3D experience required
- MicroStation and OpenRoads Design experience preferred
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification, is required. (PE) Certification is preferred.

Position Overview
We are currently looking to add a dynamic Civil Engineer to our passionate team of Transportation and Roadway Engineering professionals. Responsible for the design of roadway engineering projects involving geometric, hydraulic, pavement, intersection, lighting, and traffic design.
