- Designs and oversees the processes for investigating and determining credit worthiness in customers.
- Creates and implements strategies to improve collection of outstanding invoices, debt and account management.
- Trains and mentors staff members to ensure that performance goals and milestones are continually met and exceeded.
- Ensures that all financial documents, payment records, and invoices are securely filed and maintained in compliance with company and regulatory policies.
- Researches account disputes and billing discrepancies.
- Prepare and analyze follow up and feedback reports on payment collections and other departmental operations.
- Reviews delinquent accounts that have been escalated for collections.
- Coordinates with senior management to strategize the future development and structure of the department within the organization.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
- Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
- Bachelor's degree in (business, accounting, etc.) or related field and a minimum of (Number) years' relevant experience
- Strong understanding of basic Accounting and Accounts Receivable/Payable concepts
- Experience with Oracle and other finance software with ability to effectively learn new programs
- Outstanding leadership and managerial skills
- English/Spanish bilingual preferred
