Come join our growing team. We are looking for a Payroll Coordinator Processor.


Responsibilities:


  • Collect and process payroll for Approx 60 field employees, review payroll with superintendents for approval and post online for employees' approval. Review all field employee approvals and adjust if necessary
  • Process payroll in accordance with prevailing wage and union requirements
  • Input payroll into J & E
  • Process office payroll biweekly for 7 office employees
  • Handle DD changes, pay raises, and any adjustments for garnishments
  • Enter payroll back charges and restitution
  • Weekly Certified Payroll Reporting of over 70 jobs, which can consist of uploading certified payroll to DIR, LCP tracker, E-Mars, PRISM and OCPS for LA County
  • Report monthly union activity and process monthly union payments
  • Serve as company's union audit liaison
  • Request Union Status Letter monthly to provide to Contractors
  • Monthly Skilled & Trained Workforce Reporting
  • Gather payroll information for audits related to unions, tax, and financial statements
  • Process VOE's, EDD forms, etc.
  • Process all labor compliance requests
  • Review certified payroll for subcontractors
  • Maintain accurate and organized payroll records
  • Process new hires and terminations in Workday and make sure they upload into J & E to make sure its fully processed
  • Prepare and process reports for management review
  • Maintain records of garnishments, garnished wages, and other withholdings such as child support payments or alimony payments.
  • Work with corporate to process reversals when there are issues with dd account information
  • Audit and adjust paid time off accrual balances (vacation, sick, etc.)
  • Keep up to date Prevailing wage rates, union wage sheets and master agreements
  • Working with unions to get the correct wage sheets depending on area of work, also process correct follow the man forms when employee is not working in their local area
  • Work with Payables to provide wages and subsistence for all T & M
  • Process DAS 140/142's
  • Inform and educate company supervisors on payroll matters including prevailing wage, proper timecard reporting, collective agreement provisions and company's payroll process
  • Assist in maintaining prevailing wage bid and change order rate schedules
  • Assist other branches with certified payroll as needed
  • Train new employees as needed

Qualifications:


  • Requires education generally equivalent to a High School diploma. Additional specialized training in the administrative realm is also desirable.
  • Requires 1 to 3 years of administrative work experience.
  • Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word in addition to a payroll processing system (Ceridian, Kronos, Elations, LCP Tracker, Emars Reporting, etc.).
  • Must know how to use a 10 key calculator.
  • It is desirable for the incumbent to have previous experience in the construction industry. Certified payroll experience preferred.
  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and personnel at other branch offices and headquarters.
  • Requires the ability to think critically and problem solve.
  • Requires the ability to process and handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Requires good organizational skills and good judgment in making decisions
