Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) specializing in working with children to join our team.

As an RBT for Children, you will focus on providing behavior intervention services to support children with developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, or other special needs.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with children and their families, implementing evidence-based interventions to promote skill development and reduce problem behaviors.


Responsibilities:


  • Implement behavior intervention programs tailored to the individual needs of children under the guidance and supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
  • Provide oneonone therapy sessions with children in various settings, including home, school, or community environments.
  • Engage children in structured activities and playbased interventions to teach new skills and promote positive behavior.
  • Collect data on child behavior and progress during therapy sessions accurately and consistently.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies for promoting skill acquisition and behavior management across different environments.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans, including behavior support plans and reinforcement strategies.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive rapport with children and their families, fostering trust and collaboration in the therapeutic process.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and stay updated on best practices in behavior analysis and child development.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality in all interactions with children and families.
  • Provide support and guidance to parents and caregivers on implementing behavior management strategies and techniques in the home environment.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, child development, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children with developmental disabilities, autism, or behavioral challenges preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage and connect with children on their level.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and other team members.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client locations as needed.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and obtain any necessary clearances.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education in the field of behavior analysis and child development.
