Description
1. To perform the physical tasks required to complete a project.

  • To learn and preform all tasks required to complete a project at a high level of competence.
  • Establishes and performs the skills required to assist Layout Foreperson and assigned Operator, Engineers, Superintendent, and EQR support person.
  • Reports directly to the Layout Foreperson / Foreperson / Superintendent or next level of management.
  • Indirectly reports to Operation Manager for job assignments, time off requests, and HR related issues.
  • Indirectly reports to Vice President of Operations.
  • Maintains ethical sensitivity, personal integrity, and a focus on ecological uplift.
  • Achieves high field production rates through self-motivation.

RESPONSIBILITIES / REQUIREMENTS:
Valid driver license (not provisional) and reliable form of transportation to remote sites.

  • Have the ability to safely operate large onroad vehicles with trailer.
  • Meet DOT physical requirements.
  • Pass EQR's driving test.
  • The ability to perform required pre/post trip inspections.
  • Have the ability to operate equipment such as: track truck, skid steer, and mini excavator.
  • Complete equipment checks lists, or to ensure check lists are completed by crew.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to learn to operate layout equipment.
  • Read, understand, and implement project documents (both internal and external).
  • Ability to learn to lead a crew to complete an assigned task.
  • Must have the ability to communicate human resource information to Layout Foreperson and or Operations manager and crew members in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Physical requirements include sitting (riding to job) (5%), standing, walking and lifting materials or equipment (95%). This position requires manual dexterity of the hands and bending, and twisting associated with heavy lifting. This position requires lifting heavy materials and equipment and often requires working outside in the elements in all seasons and weather conditions. The body senses of sight, hearing (safety), and verbal communication is required.
  • Must be able lift and carry 80 lbs.
  • The language is English in speech and is used in all drawings. This position must have the ability to comprehend and convey instructions in a clear manner to other field personnel, clients and superiors.

Pay:
$ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

  • Must be willing to work in and around Water, Forests, Wetlands, on Shorelines, completing Stream Restoration, Wetland Restoration and creation, Storm Water, and Shoreline Resiliency construction work.

Education:


  • High school or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

Construction Experience: 1 year (required)


License/Certification:
