Description

Are you an experienced, passionate accounting professional? Are you looking for the next long-term step in your career? If so - we are hiring a General Ledger Accountant who will focus on accounting functions such as: maintaining and reconciling the general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, and assisting with month-end close processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accounting principles and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This is an on-site permanent accounting role (with excellent benefits) with a stable company in Southfield, MI. Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Prepare journal entries
Entering financial data into accounting system
Assist with month-end close processes
Assist with state and local tax preparation
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements
Perform account analysis and reconciliations
