    This position provides general program support for the Disability Services and Affirmative Employment Services. Responsibilities include front desk clerical and customer service, primary program support for the Community Employment and the Rehabilitation programs including clinical records management and billing; provides identified accounting and purchasing functions for the Rehabilitation/Community Day Services; represents Bridgeway in a positive, professional and respectful manner and maintain the rights of confidentiality for each person served.

    Be polite, attentive and responsive to all customers accessing services either in the center or by phone. Communicates with supervisors to help determine appropriate services for the customer and assist with the scheduling of appointments and linkage.

    Responsible for the lobby area appearance and accessibility issues for customers.

    Demonstrate effective teamwork within the organization. Offer help and encouragement to other employees. Treat others with courtesy and offer assistance appropriately.

    Provide program support for all clerical functions including answering the telephone on in respectable and courteous manner. Process purchasing requisitions under the guidance of the Accounting and Purchasing Departments.

    Establish new consumer records and file paper documents as specified on the Records Index. Close consumer files as directed and monitor closed files. Assist in developing and maintaining electronic medical records.

    Ensure staff access to consumer records is permitted only on a "need to know" basis in accordance with the organization's confidentiality policy. Maintain current and ongoing knowledge of agency policies and procedures relative to job responsibilities.

    Associates degree and/or one-year related experience (secretarial, business, medical). Experience in assisting consumers in a social service agency is preferred. Must also have reliable transportation. Employment with Bridgeway is conditional upon completion of all background checks.
