Company Overview & Job purpose
FDI CNC is a rapidly growing machine shop with brand new lathes, swisses, and mills.

We have a lean team with an extensive manufacturing knowledge base, and we are now seeking an experienced CNC programmer who can assist us in taking our business to the next level.


The CNC programmer will be responsible for programming, assisting with machine setup, creating fixtures on an as needed basis, and collaborating with the entire team across all aspects to get the job done ahead of schedule with high quality results.


Duties & responsibilities

  • Program, setup, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC machines for maximum efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Select and install appropriate tooling for each job based off job specifications.
  • Design and create fixtures as needed.
  • Create, read, and interpret technical drawings and 3D models.
  • Create setup, inprocess and quality documents as needed for jobs.
  • Conduct firstarticle inspections and other quality checks to ensure parts meet all specified requirements throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Collaborate with the production team to improve processes and resolve technical issues on ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • Strongly prefer 5+ years of experience as a CNC Programmer on mills and lathes, up to 5axis.
  • Strongly prefer 5+ years of experience CNC machining and setup experience on mills and lathes, up to 5axis.
  • Experience with programming and operating Okuma, Eurotech, Tsugami, Feeler, and Swiss machines and controls strongly preferred.
  • Extensive experience using Mastercam in milling, turning, and millturning up to 5axis machining centers required.
  • The ability to create, read, and interpret technical drawings and 3D models using MasterCam, Fusion 360, Solid Works, Creo or similar CAD software is strongly preferred.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work in a fastpaced, lean, and collaborative manufacturing environment.
  • Positive and professional attitude, demonstrating dedication and commitment through all interactions.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Pay:
$85, $125,000.00 per year
