    Description

    Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton, IL is seeking a dedicated full-time Dining Services Assistant to join their team!

    • Summary:
      Join our team and take part in essential food service tasks including setting tables, portioning and serving delicious meals for our residents. Additionally, you will prepare and deliver snacks, restock refrigerators and pantries, and cook a variety of dishes including cold sandwiches, salads, and desserts. Cleaning tasks like washing pots, pans, and dishes are also part of the role.
    • Essential Duties:
      As a Dining Services Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting resident and staff meal service. This includes preparing and assembling items for meals, serving residents, and ensuring dining rooms are set up and cleaned. You will also be involved in replenishing refrigerators, supporting catering operations, monitoring food temperatures, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the department.
    • Qualifications:
      To excel in this role, previous food service experience is preferred. You should have the ability to follow both written and oral instructions, communicate effectively with staff and residents, and maintain a positive and caring attitude. Flexibility is key as you will be required to work on weekdays, weekends, and during holiday rotations.
    • Physical Demands:
      This position involves a combination of walking, standing, bending, and lifting. You should be comfortable lifting up to 50lbs and pushing/pulling up to 100lbs. Additionally, you may have exposure to various equipment, chemicals, and different temperatures.
