Job Details:
Family Services of Westchester is looking for a part time Veteran Peer Mentor for our Veterans Program. This position is based in White Plains, NY and works throughout Westchester County and remotely.

POSITION TITLE:
Peer Mentor

SALARY:
$20/hour

SCHEDULE:
Variable days and hours based on client and program needs. 25 hours per week max.

SUPERVISED BY:
Director, Veterans Program / Vet2Vet

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Establish and maintain regular (at least weekly) contact with assigned veterans through inperson meetings.
Utilize shared experience to provide attentive mentorship, social interaction, and welfare monitoring to assigned veterans.
Accurately report interaction with assigned veterans to the program director through established reporting systems.
Assist with other program duties and events as assigned by program director.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High School (required), U.S. Military Veteran (required), Peer Support Specialist (preferred)
