Chesapeak Shredding is a full service mobile shredding company that specializes in document and electronics destruction and recycling.

We are in need for a professional driver with a good attitude, history of reliability, and customer service focus. As a route driver you will be responsible to complete your given route daily.

Primary responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

• Safely and efficiently completing daily routes in Baltimore and surrounding areas
• Upkeep of your assigned vehicle
• Completing route sheet and certificates of destruction accurately

Must have:

• Reliable transportation to and from office
• Have a clean driving record

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Route Driver to join our team. As a Route Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods and products to various locations. This is a vital role in ensuring timely and efficient delivery to our customers.


Duties:

• Safely operate a delivery vehicle
• Load and unload goods and products onto the vehicle
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
• Communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays
• Drive defensively and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
• Operate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks for loading and unloading purposes
• Complete necessary paperwork, including delivery logs and invoices

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or Route Driver preferred
• Commercial driving experience preferred
• Familiarity with local roads and routes
• Ability to navigate using GPS or other navigation systems
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Physical stamina to lift heavy loads(50+lbs) and endure long hours of driving
• Flexibility in working hours, including weekends or evenings if required

Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
