Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. One year of customer service or administrative support experience is required. Completion of college coursework may substitute for the required work experience on a year-for-year basis.
Recruitment Notes:
The RER Code Compliance Legislative Clerk (Part-time) position is within the Code Compliance Division, Enforcement Support and Special Services/Legal Unit of the Regulatory & Economic Resources Department.
The duties and responsibilities of this position will allow cases to be timely processed for legal remedies and for communications with constituents to be efficiently and effectively handled to foster voluntary compliance.
This position will also assist the Code Compliance Division in monitoring and tracking code and legislative changes that may impact the operation.
The incumbent in this position will primarily support the Legal Liaison with any research required for legal action to include enforcement case history and preparation of legal documents and correspondence as needed.
In addition, this position will assist with code enforcement appeal hearings and contacting constituents to advise of legal process and compliance options.
