SUMMARY:


The role of an Operation Director of Prevention & Intervention Services in a NCC (CUA) involves overseeing and managing intervention programs that aim to protect children and support families.

This includes being knowledgeable of all prevention services offered through the Office of Children and Families (OCF) such as Out of School Time (OST), Career Connected Learning, and PHL preK, etc.

In addition to prevention services offered through OCF, the director must ensure that community partners are engaged and incorporated in strategies to provide protective and capacity building services to the children and families served on NCC's CUA regions.


ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop strategies and direct referral links to all services offered through OCF
  • Develop engagement strategies aimed at informing casemanagement staff of available resources to help support the children and families they service.
  • Development and maintenance of a resource guide.
  • Develop strategies to engage older youth and develop resources that support older youth transition into adulthood.
  • Manage Emergency Family Fund resources that support stability for youth.
  • Oversee Older Youth Engagement and Advocacy Departments.
  • Oversee After Care Services Department.
  • Ensure all relevant assessment work is completed and incorporated into the Single Case Plans (SCP).
  • Policy and Procedure Development
  • Identify relevant training opportunities for department staff.
  • Ensure attendance at all Community Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.
  • Work closely with Community Engagement Departments of each CUA to ensure effective collaboration and community connectedness.
  • Oversee parenting collaborative contract.
  • Oversee Early Intervention referral process.
  • Work closely with QA department to develop evaluation strategies for departments in the prevention division.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree or above preferred from an accredited college or university with a major in the human services field plus three years of experience supporting management level staff.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in Child Welfare & Social Services
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of managing projects
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills to effectively problemsolve.
  • Experience in a behavioral/mental health setting is a plus.
  • Grant writing experience a plus.
