_Medical Office Assistant_

Northstate Foot and Ankle Specialists was founded on the premise of "Every Movement Matters." We deliver a joyful and top-quality, caring atmosphere for our patients. We take pride in our practice being unique; there is nothing like it in Northern California First to open an office in the Thrive District, located in the new Meriam Park Development in Chico, we recently celebrated our 2 Year Anniversary.

Our practice is a multi-physician Podiatry office, which includes a Physical Therapy department.

Our doctors have collectively treated patients for over 60 years and have a goal to make the quality of their patients' lives better from the ground up From offering understanding and a smile to advanced, state-of-the-art medical care, we provide our patients with a comfortable experience and ethical, effective treatment.

If you are a friendly, outgoing, detail-oriented and experienced individual we want you to join our team This position is the first impression of our office, on the phone and in person.

Our ideal team member is a clear communicator and takes a compassionate approach as you assist patients with the following:


Primary Job Duties:


  • Interact directly and professionally with patients
  • Update and manage electronic medical records and patient notes, send electronic prescriptions
  • Provide patients with the proper forms, update and verify insurance information, and process payments
  • Answer multiline phones, transfer calls, and make outgoing calls in order to assist patients and facilitate patient care
  • Patient intake and room turnover
  • Assist with podiatricspecific tasks i.e. orthotics, ordering of diabetic shoes, casting, etc.
  • Stock & clean exam rooms
  • Provide overall support for our physicians and other office staff
  • Effectively communicate with internal/external physicians & staff
  • Other duties as assigned by the Employer

Schedule:
Must be available Monday - Friday 7:30am-6:00pm to either open or close the office.


Qualifications/Experience

  • Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent customer service skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
  • Must be a team player who can work effectively in a team environment
  • Have good interpersonal, verbal communication and active listening skills
  • Computer & keyboard proficient
  • Minimum 1 year medical office experience strongly preferred
  • Willingness and ability to learn and perform other duties

Pay:
$ $23.00 per hour
