Description

The Technical Account Manager is a key role responsible for driving sales of valve grease and lubricant products, specifically Sealweld and Valtex brands.

This position requires a deep understanding of valve maintenance in pipelines and in the oil field. Along with strong sales skills and the ability to effectively manage distributor relationships.

The Technical Account Manager will play a critical role in expanding market presence, increasing sales revenue, and ensuring customer satisfaction through technical support and product expertise.


Essential Job Functions

  • Distributor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, providing guidance, support, and training to effectively market and sell Sealweld and Valtex products.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategic plans for increasing sales and market share, with a specific emphasis on leveraging distributor networks.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as a technical expert on valve maintenance, pipelines, and oil field operations, providing guidance and support to customers and distributors to address their specific needs.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to understand their technical requirements and recommend suitable products and solutions, utilizing distributor channels where applicable.
  • Training and Development: Conduct training sessions for distributors and internal sales teams to enhance product knowledge, sales skills, and understanding of valve maintenance best practices.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and inform strategic decisionmaking.
  • Performance Evaluation: Track and analyze sales performance metrics, distributor performance, and market trends to assess effectiveness of sales strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, customers, and internal teams, to facilitate collaboration and achieve sales objectives.

Requirements:


  • Experience_
  • Proven track record in technical sales, with experience in distributor management highly preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of valve maintenance, pipelines, and oil field operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in market analysis and performance evaluation.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments and functions to achieve common goals.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with distributors and customers.
  • Education_
  • Bachelor's Degree or proven track record in technical sales and knowledge of valve maintenance, pipelines, and oil field operations.
