As the saying goes, "food and drink keep body and soul together." And it's true - good cuisine never fails to impress. In a time of pre-packaged meals and fast food, healthy and varied eating is becoming increasingly important. In fact, sophisticated dining has even become a status symbol.

Cooks are responsible for the reputation of a restaurant, as people are more likely to return to a place where they enjoy their meals. But cooking talents are not only in demand in restaurants - they are also needed in places where people are regularly provided with meals day after day.

Locations:

The state capital of Kiel offers training for cooks at two locations. The assignment to one of these training locations will be based on capacity and your preferences at the end of the selection process. Please feel free to let us know your preferred training location during the selection process.

At the Athlete's House in the Olympic Center Schilksee, housekeepers and cooks provide meals for top athletes at the sailing national training center, as well as for young athletes living in the boarding school (sailing and surfing). They also prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner for guests staying at the house.

When events are held at the Regatta House, the cooks also provide catering services, meaning they supply guests with hot and cold meals and snacks. This is especially important during major sporting events,
