- Lead a procurement team, including setting performance targets, and continuously providing feedback regarding actual performance in comparison to targets.
- Own all procurement-related activities for multiple functions, and business units, particularly focused on indirect spend and IT.
- Help develop sourcing strategies, develop key initiatives, best practices and processes within the team that maximize value and mitigates risks.
- Develop positive working relationships with vendors, and other internal customers – particularly IT.
- Recommend cost-saving strategies that are equitable to the vendors.
- Negotiate information technology agreements and support contract renewals (e.g., licensing, infrastructure, networking, and telecom agreements)
- Prepare and issue Request for Proposals (RFPs), evaluate proposals with internal stakeholders and lead contractual negotiations with suppliers.
- Lead staff members in obtaining and analyzing sub-contractors and vendors.
- Bachelor's degree or relevant military experience
- 7 years of Procurement experience
- Solid Microsoft Office proficiency
- Familiarity with contract negotiation, and contract management
- Familiarity with Purchasing best practice and Procurement software (e.g., Coupa)
- 10 years of Procurement experience
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
- Proven time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact and communicate well with all internal and external customers.
