Position Summary:

Drug and Alcohol Case Coordination is an individualized, client-care service designed for individuals with substance abuse disorders.

D&A Case Coordinators provide assistance in accessing needed services and resources, as well as offering support and advocacy for adults and adolescents struggling with addiction in Schuylkill County.

This position will be cross trained in Crisis Intervention and will respond in person to local community_

Here, you'll appreciate the support and camaraderie of a local team as you provide the community with care and support that will improve their mental health and well-being.

This position will be part of an On-Call Rotation 1 week/month. _
The on-call is for a week, Monday
  • Thursday 11pm 8:30am and Friday 11pm through Monday 8:30am. Mileage reimbursement is available at the state set rate

The starting base salary for this position is $18.00/hr., which applies to training, supervision and office work. We also offer a possible higher hourly rate based on experience. Afternoon shift differential of $.75/hour. The weekly stipend is $400.00 per week when covering on-call and $23/hr. for time called out. Travel is required. Mileage reimbursement is available at the state set rate

Essential Functions:


  • Assess service needs and make referrals to clinical, medical, and other identified services.
  • Link individuals/families to treatment services, communitybased services, and community and natural supports.
  • Advocate for services and resources, provide supportive counseling to enhance the individual's participation in services and recovery.
  • Monitor the individual/family's participation in services and provide support to encourage participation.
  • Maintain utilization requirements;
  • Other duties as assigned to support the mission of the agency.

Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in chemical dependency, sociology, social welfare, psychology, nursing or relate field or a bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 18 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, criminal justice or related social science.


One year as a drug and alcohol intensive case manager trainee or one year of direct service experiencing performing counseling or case management work in an alcohol or other drug treatment setting.

Computer competency with the ability to learn agency software. Ability to interact with people of all constituent groups. Maintain strict Drug and Alcohol Confidentiality Laws.

Valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, Act 33/34 and FBI clearances will be required. Individuals who have accessed human services are encouraged to apply. EOE/ADA
