- Manage firewalls, data security systems, and network monitoring/alerting solutions to keep data and communications protected while proactively alerting on issues.
- Identify, document, and validate compliance of network and infrastructure security best practices
- Plan and implement new systems, upgrades and patching while adhering to best practices
- Advise on the expansion of current infrastructure including cloud opportunities to meet the evolving demands of the business
- Maintain infrastructure for networking, storage, and compute with focus for minimal downtime
- Monitor infrastructure and making recommendations to improve network performance for all systems
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate networking issues to IT team members
- Recommend and implement disaster recovery procedures and solutions
- Grow current knowledge and understanding of security, networking, and infrastructure best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems
- Help mentor staff in their project initiatives
- Associate degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in IT Network Operations in a multi-site, enterprise environment
- Working knowledge of ITIL concepts and best practices with emphasis on Data Center practices
- Solid background in network administration and architecture
- Working knowledge of infrastructure technologies including but not limited to:
- Hyperconverged Infrastructure
- Virtualization
- Enterprise network configuration and management including SD-WAN
- Advanced Firewall Management
- Enterprise Data Protection and retention solutions
- Network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools
- Microsoft server
- Azure and Office 365
- Knowledge of coding languages for scripting / automation (PowerShell, Python)
- Ability to work with people at all levels in the organization, in addition to consultants and vendors
- Ability to work independently and with minimal direct guidance
- Persistence in resolving issues without becoming upset or overly frustrated
- Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and identify resolutions
- Ability to:
