    Job Description

    R&E Stamping Maintenance Technician

    Join the R&E family as we are expanding our production operations in Detroit. We are looking for a versatile Maintenance Technician to manage the day-to-day maintenance of our Stamping Facility. This role involves servicing automated stamping and assembly equipment, as well as the facility itself. Candidates should be comfortable working at heights and in tight spaces.

    • Position Requirements:
      • Adept with pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems
      • Skilled in reading and understanding pneumatic/hydraulic/mechanical schematics
      • Proficient in using various tools such as hydraulic jacks, dial indicators, and pneumatic/electric power tools
      • Experience in Welding (MIG/TIG) and Fabrication
      • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
      • Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and aerial work platforms
      • Willingness to learn and collaborate within a team
      • Capable of performing a range of maintenance tasks from replacing light fixtures to major press repairs
      • Must have own basic mechanical tools (specialty tools provided)
      • Mechanical Aptitude (able to disassemble and reassemble equipment)
    • Preferred Experience:
      • Knowledge of forklift mechanics, motors, and servicing
      • Experience as a Journeyman Millwright is a bonus
      • Familiarity with Stamping Presses (gear trains, clutch/brake assemblies)
      • Experience with PLC/Controls/Electrical systems (training available)
      • Ability to work with high voltage up to 480VAC and Low Voltage up to 24VDC
      • Training provided for Robotics experience
    • First and second shifts are available.
    • Second shift will commence on the first shift initially.
