Wage:
$17 - $18 per hour


Hours:
Early mornings and afternoon shifts. Some weekend and major holidays availability is needed.

Arlington Heights, IL.


Job Summary

  • As one of our Food for Thought Dishwashers, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, and other kitchen equipment.
You will also assist with kitchen prep work and have cross-train opportunities to grow as a cook.

Cleaning duties as needed, sweep or scrub floors, clean garbage cans with water or steam, sort and remove trash and place it in designated pickup areas.


Responsibilities

  • Washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand.
  • Maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
  • Transferring supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks.
  • Loading or unloading trucks that deliver or pick up food or supplies.
  • Stocking supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.

Required Qualifications

  • Selfmotivated with a high energy level.
  • Handson experience with industrial washing machines.
  • Attention to detail and sanitation rules.
  • Must provide valid Food Handler Certificate and Food Allergen Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a team, as well as on individual tasks.
  • Ability to thrive and remain eventempered when faced with a fastpaced, highpressure environment.
  • Experience working in high volume restaurants or cafés.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to use their hands to handle tools, grasp, and control objects. Use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble items.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously exposed to hot and damp environments. Working with knives, mincers, and other dangerous tools or equipment.
