Position: Respiratory Therapist - PICU

Location: Charlotte, NC

Travel Experience:

Travel experience is required. Preference will be given to experienced travelers, though first-time travelers with a high level of skill set will also be considered.

Special Procedures/Unit Details:

The unit encompasses a 70+ bed NICU, 10 bed PICU, a 32 bed Pediatrics Floor, and a 14 bed Pediatric Emergency Department. Candidates must possess experience in both NICU and PICU as approximately 50% to 60% of cases arise from these areas daily.

Required Equipment Proficiency:

Candidates must demonstrate competency in utilizing the following:

• Servo-I, Servo-N
• HOFV-3100 A & B
• Alaris IV pumps for continuous Albuterol treatments
• Airvo heated HFNC
• BCPAP with multiple interfaces
• Aerogen versus Hope neb versus EZflow Max neb
• Hamilton T1
• Synclara, Volera
• Beyond Air nitric system
• Fisher Paykel Flexitrunk BCPAP interface
• Metaneb, Smart Vest
• Heliox use, AMBU bronchs

Weekend Coverage:

Every third weekend required, totaling approximately 10 weekend shifts per contract.

Special Considerations:

Scheduling will be based on unit needs, and candidates should be prepared for the possibility of float assignments across pediatric units.

Unit Orientation:

A comprehensive 36-hour unit orientation will be provided.

Scrubs:

Candidates are required to wear black scrubs, which are not provided.
