    Description
    We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Lancaster, NY surrounding area

    Salary Range:
    $65,000 - $80,000Responsible for lean deployment and implementation, cost reduction development, production readiness for new programs, methods improvement, capital expenditure justification, plant layout, operational procedures, and special projects upon request

    Responsibilities:
    Manufacturing and continuous improvement programsAssist and drive flow improvement projectsWork with design engineers on new product development, design for manufacturability, and house of quality deploymentProject Expenditure JustificationAnalyze proposed requests for cost reduction or necessity for operationWork with suppliers to obtain equipment quotesCost ReductionAnalyze cost reduction possibilities and develop cost reduction proposalsDevelop cost comparison of present and proposed methodsImplement cost reductions and follow-up to ensure attainmentConduct time studies to verify labor savingsDocumentation and Systems requirementsPrepare and maintain operation sheetsProcess Engineering Change OrdersMaintain documentation as required in MFGPRO

    Basic Hiring Criteria:
    Bachelor's Degree - Engineering or Technical field with 5 years experience; related additional years of experience may be substituted for educationMinimum five years in a general manufacturing environment preferredMinimum 2 years of experience with lean deploymentCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorshipAll applicants must be a US citizen or US Permanent Resident (i.e., Green Card Holder)

    Desired Qualifications:
    Proficiency with CAD, autocad preferredBenefits offered to vary by the contract.
