HOURS:7:00am - 3:30pm = 8 hour work days, School Year position (mid-August through mid-to-late June, pending the last day of the school year).


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Prepare letters, reports and other forms of correspondence.
  • Manage student records in the Infinite Campus database. Maintain student records as required, including, but not limited to, student registrations and/or transfer of records between schools.
  • Assist families with district enrollment and/or transfer process and paperwork.
  • Assist Counseling Office with respective tasks as needed, including helping students to access the Counseling Office.
  • Support Special Education Coordinator with administrative tasks, as needed.
  • Manage Section 504 Plans, including assisting with scheduling meetings, updating student files, and communicating plans to teachers.
  • Place and receive telephone calls and record messages; manage the schoolwide intercom and publicaddress system.
  • Organize and message Daily Announcements for students and families.
  • Manage schoolwide calendars, including scheduling building use for the school, district, and community.
  • Update school website and manage school social media accounts.
  • Coordinate, prepare and assist with all schoolwide and student mailings.
  • Update office forms as needed.
  • Assist and cover for office colleagues during absences as needed.
  • Welcome visitors and volunteers.
  • Maintain a professional, confidential and friendly manner to the MAMS community.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Google Docs.
  • Preferred knowledge of Infinite Campus.
  • An aptitude to quickly learn new computer systems as needed including Aesop, EA or IVEE.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask with a high attention to detail.
  • Flexible and enthusiastic learner.
  • Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check or ability to obtain.
