- Team Supervision and Leadership: Supervise a team of valve technicians, providing guidance, training, and mentorshipAssign tasks and manage workflow to ensure efficient shop operationsConduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
- Shop Floor Operations: Oversee day-to-day resource allocation and the prioritization of repair, maintenance, and testing of industrial valves to ensure quality and compliance with NBIC, ASME, and API standardsMonitor the progress of ongoing projects to ensure timely completionEnsure the shop floor has adequate resources, including parts, tools, and materialsCollaborate with other team members, such as inventory management and sales, to ensure operational excellence
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control procedures to ensure repairs meet industry standards and customer requirementsConduct inspections and quality checks to maintain high standardsAddress and resolve any quality issues that arise during the repair process
- Customer Service and Communications: Maintain communication with service coordinators regarding repair status, timelines, and any issuesCollaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfactionAddress concerns and resolve issues promptly
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repair and maintenance activitiesPrepare reports on shop floor performance, including quality, safety, and productivity metricsReport to management on shop floor operations and suggest improvements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role in a valve shop or similar industrial repair facility
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of industrial valves and related equipment
- Understanding of safety regulations and quality standards
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
