A family-owned property manager and owner is seeking an assistant to a skilled craftsman to work as part of an in-house team that is responsible for ongoing renovations.
This assistant position requires two skills:
(1) painting, and (2) carrying, holding objects, and generally assisting the skilled craftsman and team leader in trade work. A minimum of 3 years of hands-on painting experience is required. Note that this in-house team will be performing nearly the full range of work associated with apartment renovations, including rough carpentry (framing and sheetrock), cabinetry installation, trim work and door installation, plumbing, tile installation, appliance installation, painting, finishes, surgical demolition and cleanup. The work will focus on various apartments in various buildings.
This job is perfect for the person who loves GC work and seeks a predictable flow of jobs in a select number of pre-established locations.
Salary range:
$25 to $28 p/hr (depending on experience) plus reimbursement of expenses.
Pay:
$ $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
