Effective July 1, 2023, employees in this class, employed within the California Correctional Health Care Services, who are physically located at and assigned to direct in-person patient care on grounds or at a facility, shall receive a pay differential equivalent to 15% of their monthly base pay.
Only employees who provide direct patient care, treating patients in-person, on grounds, or at a facility more than 50% of the pay period are eligible for this pay differential.
Under the general direction of the Chief Executive Officer and with close consultation of the Statewide Chief Psychiatrist, the Chief Psychiatrist develops, oversees, and directs the quality and operations of Physician Services within psychiatry for the psychiatric treatment of individuals housed at Central California Women's Facility.

Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If it is determined an applicant does not meet the Minimum Qualifications, the candidate will be withheld from the eligibility list, rendering them inactive and ineligible to be hired for the position. Candidates who have been withheld may file an appeal with the State Personnel Board.
Candidates new to CDCR or the Division of Juvenile Justice are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
Pursuant to the Public Health Order () issued by the California Department of Public Health and the directive () issued by the Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation (CDCR), all staff assigned to this institution are required to show evidence of full vaccination for COVID-19, absent an approved reasonable medical or religious accommodation precluding them from vaccination.
