Description:

We are Lockheed Martin**Team with the Government Instrumentation Lead to provide joint onsite technical and management oversight to a team of electronics engineers across a two-shift operation.

Direct and coordinate test configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting for the instrumentation systems across a fleet of 11 to 13 aircraft.

Oversee the data center consisting of download, reduction, processing, storage, and transmission at multiple classification levels and provide timely, accurate, and focused data products to support F-22 and F-16 capability development and verifications requirements.

Enable autonomous day-to-day operation and coordination with other appropriate Lockheed site locations. Frequent communication with internal Lockheed and Government upper-level management.


Responsibilities will also include coordinating and interacting with several disciplines as they relate to flight test such as maintenance, configuration management, supportability, engineering, flight operations, security and quality.

Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends when required; travel required is mínimal.


Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
A level 5 employee

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline or appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
  • Significant experience and knowledge of flight test instrumentation and/or data collection and processing
  • Flight Test Instrumentation Experience
  • Design or Installation or Troubleshooting or Operations and/or Data Processing Experience
  • Data Collection and Reduction
  • Team Leadership Experience

  • Familiarity with AFFTC Processes and Operations

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.


Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.


Schedule for this Position:4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Non-represented full-time employees:

accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
