About this opportunity

What you will do:

Supports complex manufacturing technology and processes within the factory which produces cellular radios. Applies technical knowledge to the manufacturing processes for efficient methods to build radios allowing the delivery of higher quality radios to customers while controlling costs. Collaborates with System Architects around the world who produce similar cellular radio products to implement common technologies and processes in all of Ericsson's manufacturing locations to enable the ability to produce similar quality products in all facilities. Ensures solutions purchased from vendors, such as automated machines and software packages, meet Ericsson's compliance and engineering criteria. Understands Ericsson's manufacturing processes and software ecosystem to ensure the purchased products integrate into the environment to produce results expected by the product engineers and customers. Analyzes potential contracts with vendors and ensures we are sourcing the correct support and system integration from the vendors while looking out for the best interests of Ericsson.

You will bring:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field and 3 years of experience as a System Architect or similar. 3 years of experience to include: design of IoT solutions in the Telecom industry by leveraging database and application development software to architect data structures and applications; enabling communication between software and hardware layers with the utilization of socket communication, MQTT, REST API's, and file transfer protocol integration techniques; analyzing customer requirements to understand and translate their business requirements into a solution architecture/design; creation of technical documentation to communicate to a team of developers/engineers and/or a vendor in the form of an RFP the technical parameters and technical requirements for building the solution; and, integration of software solutions with disparate vendor and custom developed software packages and hardware solutions to create a system.
