We are currently seeking a
Medical Billing Specialist to join our team

We are a pain management private office looking for someone who has a minimum of 2 years experience in working medical A/R.

Past experience in pain management billing is
REQUIRED.

Qualifications:

• Experience with medical terminology and using an electronic medical record and billing system.
• Demonstrated knowledge of HCPC's, CPT, and diagnosis coding.
• NEXTGEN software experience preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft/Google Workspace Suite, especially excel functions and tools.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and with the team
• DME Billing experience a plus

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Review ERA's and mail batches on a daily basis for denied claims
• Use insurance portals to correct and resubmit claims as needed
• Create paper appeals when necessary to ensure payment
• Track and document all claim resubmissions and appeals
• Research and understand LCD's in order to maximize reimbursement and avoid denials
• Post insurance and over the counter payments
• Preparing and reviewing claims for submission, including resolving upfront claims edits and errors.
• Submission and tracking of claims files to all payer types.
• Resolving payer and clearing house related issues such as rejections.
• Patient phone calls/followups
• Other duties, as assigned

Pay:
$ $22.00 per hour
