- Project Planning and Execution:
- Lead the planning and execution of ground-up construction projects and interior renovations, collaborating with architects, designers, contractors, and vendors.
- Develop detailed project schedules, work plans, and budgets, allocating resources effectively to meet project milestones and deadlines.
- Monitor construction progress, identify potential issues or delays, and implement proactive measures to keep projects on track and within budget.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure that construction activities comply with building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards, maintaining a safe and secure work environment for all stakeholders.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to verify compliance with design specifications, material quality, and craftsmanship standards.
- Address any deviations or deficiencies promptly, coordinating with project teams to implement corrective actions and maintain quality assurance.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including owners, developers, consultants, and subcontractors, fostering positive relationships and clear communication channels.
- Facilitate project meetings, progress updates, and milestone reviews, keeping stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the construction process.
- Manage subcontractor relationships, ensuring timely delivery of services, adherence to contractual obligations, and resolution of any disputes or conflicts.
- Cost Control and Budget Management:
- Monitor project budgets, expenses, and financial performance metrics, identifying variances and implementing cost-saving measures where possible.
- Review change orders, purchase orders, and subcontractor agreements for accuracy and alignment with project objectives and budget constraints.
- Provide regular financial reports and updates to project stakeholders, highlighting key financial metrics and forecasting future expenditures as needed.
- Risk Management and Mitigation:
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with construction projects, such as weather delays, material shortages, or regulatory issues, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and correspondence, to support risk management efforts and ensure legal compliance.
- Implement safety protocols and emergency procedures to mitigate health and safety risks for construction personnel and site visitors.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in construction management, with a focus on hospitality projects, including ground-up construction and interior renovations.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building systems, and industry best practices, with a keen eye for detail and quality.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and document management (e.g., Procore, Primavera, Bluebeam).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and resolve conflicts diplomatically.
- Certification in construction management or project management (e.g., PMP, CMIT) preferred.
- Familiarity with LEED and sustainable building practices is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and work flexible hours as required to accommodate construction schedules and deadlines.
