    Description

    The Department of Population and Public Health Sciences is seeking a postdoctoral fellow in computational or systems biology to study the interplay of environment, genetics, and epigenetics in the etiology of cancer and other chronic diseases.

    We look for a highly motivated and competitive postdoc with expertise in processing and analysis of genomic and epigenomic data, experience in multi-omics data integration, and working knowledge of computational modeling and machine learning.

    The ideal candidate will be able to analyze high dimensional sequencing data, perform network-based analysis ( e.g. , WGCNA) and functional enrichment analysis to identify key genes, including gene modules, drivers, and hubs, and their interaction networks that govern disease development in humans.

    The successful candidate will be a recent Ph.
    D.

    graduate in computational biology, systems biology, computer sciences, bioinformatics, or related disciplines, with demonstrated expertise in machine-learning-based approaches, programming skills, proficiency in Python and R, skills in bash/Linux command-line, and experience in cloud cluster computing and database management.

    Candidates with successful publication record in peer-reviewed journals are preferred.

    The annual base salary range for this position is $64,480 - $65,000.
